Humankind had wasted so much of their time
trying to be someone else,
Trying to build revolutionary roads,
Ended up with ghost-ridden crossroads,
Twisted twigs and branches to their advantage,
Didn’t laugh over coffee,
Didn’t make it frothy either,
Instead, made the Earth filthy;

Hardly noticed the world changing around them,
Skyline changing,
The faint sound of bells from the House of Gods,
Dulcet tunes dying along the buildings,
The stillness of the woods,
The light drizzle,
Nature it seems, has come full circle,
He has His ways.
